The prescription pill and illegal drug trade is running rampant while authorities seem to be focusing their efforts on busting kids running lemonade stands without business licenses and while everybody was looking the other way Walmart was busy terminating milk producers contracts so they could open their own milk processing facility. Kinda scary. Things are changing faster than I can :bang: :deadhorse:

Free enterprise and learning a good work ethic can't get you on government assistance.
We have a GCA meeting tonight at 7, and John from Pulaski County livestock is supplying the US of A choice ribeyes. You know you're always welcome.

Almost like the rules are meant for some but not others?

I appreciate the invite. Just walked in the door so I’m too late for the party. I will tell John I couldn’t make it so he can just call Phil at M &T and I will pick mine up :hide:

If you want to know where your milk comes from, go to this site and type in the code on the milk container-

http://whereismymilkfrom.com/#

I just checked mine and it came from Country Delite Farms Nashville, Tenn.

I, as a general rule, don’t usually consume much milk, unless it’s in the form of ice cream. I do, however, consume as much beef as possible. Reckon there’s a way we can figure out where my beef came from?
All jokes aside, that is pretty interesting that you can trace your milk’s origin.

Mine is printed near the neck of the gallon jug, right beside the 'best by' or date thing. That web page says it came from Bordens Dairy, Conroe Texas, about 21 miles nw of me.

Looks like my half and half came out of Philadelphia, Pa and my Cottage Cheese from LaFargeville, NY.

Georgia Cemetery Association for dying businesses?
Or are you applying for grant money from the Georgia Council for the Arts?

Mine says KEMPS LLC Mpls. Mn.
but doesn't say what farm or which cow. :(
If you want to get that deep into it, better milk your own. Not an option for the vast majority.

I know where mine comes from with no codes....1st calf heifer number 29. Grass and grain fed, hand milked and not rapid cooled like some, but it sure tastes good and has a pretty good butterfat. I will get it tested when I go test one of my farms. We give her an ID and I take a small container of her milk, and sent it in with his herd samples. So he has an "extra bought cow" in his herd. I make up a milk weight so that I can get the sample processed, and it costs me a couple of bucks. It gives me a chance to see what her butterfat and protein is, I guess how much she makes a milking.
