Does anyone have one of these? My friend asked me about them and I told him I don't know anything about them. Are they good bad or just plain ugly ?

I use it, more than I thought I would. If this guy likes to keep a neat place, he might as well go ahead and buy one. Ours goes through belts pretty fast. I found a bright blue belt at a local parts store, that holds up on it better than anything else. I don't know the name brand of it. I like it much better since finding that belt. It will hold up most of a season. Just a regular v belt will be toast in an hour or less on this one.
