This old cow is raising her 8th Oct calf and is going for nine.
If she's bred Charolais she has a white calf bred BA she has a black baldie.

Care to guess her breed. :?:

hmm...i'll take a guess at 1/2 Char 1/4 Simm 1/4 Angus...Edit: changed herf to simm... had to go with my first instinct
 
Those grey cows are the most under rated cows around. We had some that colour ( Simmental x Angus ) in New Zealand that produced a calf every year till they were 20 !

Amazing how the genes will show themselves.
Lost a dinner with the bride betting on O'l Boss Cow, a F1 baldie, bred her to a red angus bull and got a calf with the only white on him is his sheath. I would have bet (and I did) that he would have had white somewhere on his head. DMc
 
Nice cow. Longevity is huge to the profitability of a herd.

I'll guess that the cow is 1/2 Simmental and 1/2 Charolais.

Good replies, thanks. What's amazing about this old cow is, all she gets is hay, milks all Winter. has always bred back, all in harsh weather and still maintains her flesh. Keep the remarks coming. I raised her from a calf, as well as her mother and grand mother.
I'll let you know what breeds tomorrow.

What a second, just came to me. herfental, herford /Simm cross.
That's close.
 
I see the gelbvieh in her now that you mention it. I really like the old girl. As far as good cows go she must make a little and seems to hold up well enough.
