I checked Snopes and YES, it is TRUE.

This oughta upset everybody:
How they vote in the United Nations:

Below are the actual voting records of various Arabic/Islamic States which are recorded in both the US State Department and United Nations records:

Kuwait votes against the United States 67% of the time

Qatar votes against the United States 67% of the time

Morocco votes against the United States 70% of the time

United Arab Emirates votes against the U. S. 70% of the time.

Jordan votes against the United States 71% of the time.

Tunisia votes against the United States 71% of the time.

Saudi Arabia votes against the United States 73% of the time.

Yemen votes against the United States 74% of the time.

Algeria votes against the United States 74% of the time.

Oman votes against the United States 74% of the time.

Sudan votes against the United States 75% of the time.

U S Foreign Aid to those that hate us:

Egypt, for example, after voting 79% of the time against the United States, still receives $2 billion annually in US Foreign Aid.

Jordan votes 71% against the United States

And receives $192,814,000 annually in US Foreign Aid.

Pakistan votes 75% against the United States

Receives $6,721,000 annually in US Foreign Aid.

India votes 81% against the United States

Receives $143,699,000 annually

Perhaps it is time to get out of the UN and give the tax savings back to the American workers who are having to skimp and sacrifice to pay the taxes (and gasoline) ...

Pass this along to every taxpaying citizen you know.

Disgusting isn't it?

The few times they vote in our interests, they don't act in support of those votes.

While I don't agree with punishing someone (UN or otherwise) for how they vote, it certainly wouldn't upset me if we pulled out. The UN is a joke. All talk, no action, and an awful lot of America bashing. Think our politicians are corrupt? Yes, most of them are, but it pales in relation to the corruption (from the top down) of most UN officials. At least our guys are corrupted with mostly our money. What burns me is the UN yahoos are pocketing our money, too. Let 'em rip somebody else off for awhile. We don't need the UN. Strong, lasting alliances have been forged for centuries, long before the UN existed. They will continue to be until the end of time, with or without the UN.

Don't get me srarted with the Afro-Asian bloc Doc, the other mind blowing aspect,is that many of these states do not pay their U.N. membership subs.
Chrisy, yes these countries consistantly vote against the U.K. as well, despite the amount of British aid to these countries- the moral? you cannot buy friends, unfortunately some faithful friends have been lost to appease these countries!

DIRECTLY - The United States Congress. INDIRECTLY - The American voting public because we haven't got the collective GUTS to INSIST that our government get off it's greedy, selfish, pompous, hubris, corrupted and bribable butts and act like Patriots instead of traitors! :devil2:

Most of our so-called 'citizens' are so lazy and uninformed Politically they don't have a CLUE what is going on in their government - and they don't give a hoot! :mad: In my opinion, the United States is headed for a fall EXACTLY the way the Roman Republic did - through APATHY! The PEOPLE are destroying their own system of government, and along with it - their REPUBLIC! They read and listen to Left-Wing Liberal Bloggers like :devil2: Disagreeable :devil2: and her ilk and say, "Yeah, yeah, that must be the way it is." - - and let it drop right there. We are getting just exactly what we deserve!

......and, yes, I know.....I should vent my spleen on the "Political" Forum. Well, a year or so ago I attempted to wake up a few people by pointing out the fallicies of :devil2: disagreeble's :devil2: Satanic, Left-wing Liberal blather and decided that I wouldn't lower myself to her level by attempting to discuss anything with a reasonable point of view. Their eyes, minds and hearts have been blinded ,and ANYBODY who even attempts to answer, discuss or rebut ANYTHING Liberals say are falling into their plans and traps - therefore I WILL NOT participate in making myself look stupid and childish!

DON'T GET ME STARTED!

How Long Do We Have?

About the time our original 13 states adopted their new constitution, in 1787, Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh, had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years prior: "A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship."

"The average age of the worlds greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:

1. From bondage to spiritual faith;
2. From spiritual faith to great courage;
3. From courage to liberty;
4. From liberty to abundance;
5. From abundance to complacency;
6. From complacency to apathy;
7. From apathy to dependence;
8. From dependence back into bondage "

Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law, St. Paul, Minnesota, points out some interesting facts concerning the 2000 Presidential election:

Population of counties won by: Gore: 127 million; Bush: 143 million;
Square miles of land won by: Gore: 580,000; Bush: 2,427,000
States won by: Gore: 19 Bush: 29
Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Gore: 13.2; Bush: 2.1

Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory Bush won was mostly the land owned by the tax-paying citizens of this great country. Gore's territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in government-owned tenements and living off government welfare..."

Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some 40 percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase.

Does everyone realize just how much is at stake, knowing that apathy is the greatest danger to our freedom.

Here is my question -
we are in debt - we are borrowing money from other countries - how can we be giving money away to yet more countries?????

I always thought if you couldn't afford to pay your own bills --- you couldn't afford to pay someone else's bills either

I think they say it like this - put the oxygen mask on yourself first so that you are still alive to put the mask on those that need help

:lol: :lol: :lol: Absolutely! If you put it on them first, they will smile as you go.

I thought I would check this out myslef when I saw countries named on the list that were neither Arabic or Islamic.

http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/outrage/unvote.asp

The result is its not exactly true, but then not neccessarily false either. The letter doesnt give enough information to test its accuracy.

What I did learn just reaffirmed my belief that we need to say adios to the United Nations. They do very little for us, especially compared to what we give to them. Think about it. Syria was actually on the security councel at one point.

Thats like asking the fox to help guard the chiken coup.
