Does MaxQ Pay?

I havent priced any of this stuff yet, but just in looking at some of the ads and the company's slogans I would guess it is pretty expensive.

What are your thoughts? Anybody use it and like it or dislike it?

I attended a "pasture walk" last week and looked at what they said was Max-Q. But how do you tell the difference? The owners of the host farm run clover thick in the old ky31 pastures so couldn't testify to the heat reducing ability of Max-Q. vs. old growth. They did say that the cows wouldn pasture it in the heat of the day. Unlike the ky31 grass. They had to sign a contract to not take seed from the stand. Not even seed for their on use. I guess this is fairly standard with reg. seed though. It took two years to establish. And total cost was $100. per acre. This cost is surely higher today.
Dun is well versed in grass's and maybe will post more.

Yes, it is well above $100 per acre. I read somewhere that if you will be farming for at least the next ten years, it will pay for itsellf in more calf weight gain, etc. compared to old toxic fescue.

I've read that Max Q is supposed to put more pounds on. But talking to people(just a few) who've established it they can't say that.I guess maybe the other variables cloud the pounds gained on Max-Q issue. But the research stations say it does.
