Does anybody like Husqvarna?

Just got these three Husqvarna 350's back together from major rebuild projects (complete tear-downs).. These are nice 10 lb. 50cc saws, about as good as you can get. Two of these are pre-EPA saws (1998) and the other I put a new 346xp closed port top end on. It should be a screamer. Does anybody else like Husqvarna as from my experience their engines are bout the best, but I like everything else better on Stihls (Just my opinion). I am still waiting on the Muffler one legged brace brackets ordered to put the mufflers back on. Also upgraded the plastic boot strap to metal. These should be about bullet proof as these were the two main problems from their history.

If I buy a husquvarna at tsc, is it the same high quality you associate with the brand? I guess what I mean is, if you buy a JD lawn mower at Lowes, it obviously not a JD.

At home we use Husqvarnas at the farm we got both stihl and Husqvarna saws I like the Husqvarnas but my boss likes the stihls

huskys couldn't stand up to what we put on saws I sold all that I had and have solely stihl.. Stihl had some design flaws but the company made it right with me. Stihl or bust

We have two small engine repair guys in town and they both agree that Husqvarna rates just behind Stihl.

4 or 5 years ago, I commenced looking for a zero turn mower. Looked at a lot of brands, and learned a lot in the process. Had about settled on a Kubota, then happened to think that we had Husqvarna dealer here in town. Went out there and purchased a commercial mower, the owner delivered it and took a good while demonstrating and showing me about it. I have been real satisfied and haven't had any trouble out of it.

I don't like any trimmer at all there all work so I use roundup instead ...however I do like echo stuff better than husk or stihl

Dad has husqvarnas and I have stihl. I prefer my stihl but but cant say as theres really a good reason. The huskys have been good to him

I find Stihl are a PITA to work on, especially older ones.. Meanwhile pretty much all the husky saws I've worked on come apart very logically, things are easier to access, etc... I can swap top ends on a 2100 in about 20 minutes.
I think the build quality of the internals are about the same, they both used Mahle for the longest time... I prefer the outboard clutch so that puts Husky above Stihl there.. I have a Stihl 044 and big bore 064, both are great saws and I like the feel of them, I have a Husky 394 which is a great saw too.. the 2100's are big brutes, heavy, but they're impossible to kill.

What are you looking to get for the non-epa saw?

It took me several chainsaws to figure this out, but the professional grade saws are pretty much good to go whether Stihl, Husky, or even Echo.

Sometimes you do get what you pay for.

What are you looking to get for the non-epa saw?

This non-epa saw is very very nice. I found it at the flea market with no starter, dead coil (upgraded with unlimited coil), no bar or chain. The top end was perfect, not even scuffs on the piston, it was bout as dirty/greasy as it could get. I gave $10 for it.

Here it is wearing a new 18" bar and air injected recoil. I upgraded the plastic boot ban inside with a metal one and put a less restricted muffler (non cat) with a one legged brace on it. It has the fully adjusted carb non EPA. I am going to pick one out of the bunch and sell the other two. It will either be this one or the 346xp one I pick. All three are nice.

Probaby the Jred saws are not selling very good even though they are almost identical to Huskvarna saws just different color.

I don't like Stihl chain adjusters or their stupid flippy caps. Germans just can't leave anything alone.

I have a Jonsered CS2252 (same as Husky 545) that has been trouble free for almost three years. I haven't found anything I don't like about it.

I've always found Husqvarnas to be a touch lighter and faster cutting than a Stihl, but it's negligible. Differences in reliability are a wash, it's Ford vs Chevy.

Every logger in the area I can think of in the area runs Husqvarna.

As far as consumer stuff, Stihl has the upper hand. The low end Husky's are for sure nothing to write home about.

I love those 350s. A hot 50cc is just about perfect as a do-all if you ask me.

A Husqvarna that you buy at Lowes or TSC is the same saw that you can get from the dealer. A dealer will carry the pro saws as well, and will set up and tune the saw for you, which is very important.
