I've been hunting pretty hard since season came in and have seen deer most every time. I've seen some good bucks the last 2 weeks just not quite big enough to shoot yet. We get 1 week every year to shoot does so I went this morning saw a nice 6 and a young doe. This afternoon I get in the shooting house at 3 pm I lay my binoculars out get my thermos out and pour a cup of coffee take a sip and look up and a doe walks into the clearing at 130 yards I shoot and down she goes. It is 3
:06 I walk up the hill and bleed her out. It is still early so I drag her down on front of the stand and set her up cow fashion and use a forked stick to prop her head. About and hour later the 6 point from this morning comes in he winds her and starts trailing from where o dragged her he never came down to where she was at but stayed in the area for nearly 30 mim smelling the blood trail. O let him walk and maybe he will be a shooter in a couple years.
