Anyone remember Tom Terrific and Manfred the wonder dog? We were talking about old cartoons today and when I brought up Tom and Manfred they all looked at me like I was from outer space. Saturday morning cartoons sure aint what they used to be !

yeah i felt old the other day when i asked my little cousin about the smurfs, snoopy, and scooby doo and he had no idea what i was talking about. apparently they have new cartoons now, like spongebob.

I remember Tom Terrific and Manfred the Wonder Dog...but like Msscamp, right now the specifics aren't coming up.

Remember George of the Jungle and Rocky and Bullwinkle, and Yogie Bear, with "Heeeeyyyyy, BooBoo?"

Alice

Tom Terrific was a little feller with a funnel on his head and it was "Mighty" Manfred the wonder dog. I too was just a little feller when they were on.

I was always a Looney Tunes man myself, but I think your Tom Terrific was part of Captain Kangaroo.

As far as I know Tom & Jerry are still being aired, as is Buggs Bunny. Can't say for the rest of them, however.

Tom Slick, and Super Chicken with his sidekick Fred. Of the recent ones, Pinky and The Brain. The Dinosaurs, with Earl Sneed Sinclair, Robbie, Fran, Charlene and baby Sinclair, that was funny stuff

dun

There will never be another like "Foghorn Leghorn".

Political Correctness" has invaded even cartoons.

Example: Foghorn talking to Chicken Hawk, " I say, I say BOY!!Sumpin kinda Hmmm about a boy that don't like baseball".

I remember Mr. Magoo, Cartoon Capers and Crusader
Rabbit. What about Mighty Mouse and Heckle and Jeckle?
Not cartoons, but along the same line...Pinky Lee and
Howdy Doody. Ahhhh....the good old days.
