Just in case you weren't feeling too old today, this will certainly change things.
The people who are starting college this fall across the nation were born in 1990.

Their lifetime has always included AIDS.

Bottle caps have always been screw off and plastic.

They never used record players.

They have always had an answering machine.

They have always had cable.

They cannot fathom not having a remote. control.

They remember no Tonight Showhost other than Jay Leno.

Popcorn has always been cooked in the microwave.

They never took a swim and thought about Jaws.

They can't imagine what hard contact lenses are.

They don't know who Mork was or where he was from.

They never heard: "Where's the Beef?", "I'd walk a mile for a Camel", or "de plane, Boss, de plane."

Since they have no idea who J.R. was, they don't care who shot him.

McDonald's never came in Styrofoam containers.

They don't have a clue how to use a typewriter.

Do you feel old yet?

Pass this on to the other old fogies on your list.

If you've noticed the larger type, it's for you if you have trouble reading...
So have a nice day!!!!!

It's good to have friends who know about these things and are still alive and kicking!!!

Thanks. I'm not quite to the hip replacement part yet, but I can relate to some of it. I was trying to relate to my younger son, who is 14, about what it was like not to have a cell phone. I feel nekkid without mine, and I sure won't get into a car without one, in case the car should break down. He doesn't remember a time when we were not in constant contact with someone and//or instantly accessable. My older son, at 20, thinks that the lap top should accompany him everywhere. He can be sitting in a beach house, sun and sand all around, indoors on this lappie.

It's amazing.

i remember those days very well.kids now days would die if they didnt have cell phones an texting.

They say that the new kids movie Wall-E is all about how electronics have taken the place of real relationships. I hate to say, but I could relate to all of that...some of it I haven't thought about for so long... we used to always watch Fantasy Island, and you were considered an part alien if you could do the Mork finger "nannoo, nannoo" thing. :lol2:
