Ditchbank you asked a question of why not breed these 2 together.... This is WHY !

I know all them bred this way don't all look like this. The next door neighbors bought this one and another one last year. Got them dirt cheap at the auction in Beeville. The might have been a year old and both were heavy bred.
Don't fool yourself that this is a big cow. She is standing uphill from me. She has no muscle mass at all. I also know they ended up bottle feeding both calves ,because neither cow had enough milk.
So think about this real hard ,before following thru.

NEVER heard of anything jersey not having enough milk. My jersey x angus do not look loke that one. My first calf heifers will raise 2 calves at a time. This is a bad representation of the cross. Ohhh, and by the look of her tits, Id say she was not first calf heifers...

Hey ,I already said some of them DON"T look like this. But there are some that DO.. These 2 cows can't weigh over 800 lbs a piece. Yes,it was their first calf.

Is she being fed well?
For a heifer that doesnt milk enough to even raise a poor calf she sure looks thin.
Even for a Angus/Jersey cross.
She isnt a looker thats for sure.

No they don't feed their cattle. These are the kinds of people that give cattlemen a bad name. I'm going to try and take a few more pic's of their herd. Warning now they are not much to look at.

Joy that explains alot, cattle dont do well if they dont eat...
Truth is I dont either.
They didnt look like they were gettin much.
But you have to ask.

Yea.....this cow is underfed. And that sure is a BAD looking udder......poor breeding I guess.....
