went to a heard dispersal yesterday. cant beleive what people are paying heavy bred heifers 1900 to 2300. excited for the sellers maybe will be the same when im ready to sell. of course im not selling bred heifers wondering how long it will take them to get their $ back outta of these heifers and if their spending their $ or borrowed $. cow calf pairs bringing 1500 to 1950 according to how big the cows and calves were. just observations and ? wanting others thoughts if any

thanks

Registered or Commercial?

I would also be interested to hear what dispersal you attended.
A couple of points:

what was a yearling heifer worth last spring. $1100 bucks across the scale?
What is it worth to breed her, vaccinate her, care for her for a year?
What will her calf be worth in a year and a half? almost half what she brought?

I think the price is about right.. Papers or no papers.

no papers from my understanding . brangus and baldies mostly but just fig the 2nd calf cows with calf at their side would be worth a little more than heifers. calf were from char bull weighed 300 to 400#. it was in dothan ala and southern cattle comp consigned some cow calf pairs. the baldies were what brought the most. new to this just trying to learn from yall
