Don't know if this is simply contract negotiations or political but no more Fox News Channel on Dish Network. Wonder if Direct TV still has it?

dish seems to always be in some controversy over dropping something. I think it has to do with how some of these things get bundled.

I read where contract negotiations broke down. Dish wanted more money to air Fox and Fox didn't pay up. Funny, but every time something like this comes up each one is pointing their finger at the other saying "they are blocking you from watching it".

Rural people, love their Fox News. It'd be a good guess, it's their largest demographic.

Same thing happened with CNN and all the Turner Network productions... They were off the air on DISH for a couple of months- then they reached agreement and are now back on...

It usaully works just the opposite. The network (fox in the cae) would want more money and dish would refuse to pay because "it would increase the cost to the customer". They say that to give the consumer a warm and fuzzy about how they are looking out for the consumer. I think it's more like it would decrease the amount of money in dishes pocket.

I'll bet they could get MSNBC for little or nothing.....Let's see Megan Kelly or Rachael Maddow :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

This from a news story about the blackout: "But Dish's point of view is that it is being aggressive on behalf of its customers, attempting to limit price increases for channels that inevitably get passed on through monthly bills."

You would have had a hard time convincing my grandkids of that... They missed all the channels and shows of the Cartoon Network and Boomerang....

This is just the way Dish operates. A few years back they did the same thing to the three local ABC, NBC and CBS channels. Pac 12 network was the same story when they came out, they just settled with CNN and now on to Fox .... Complete :bs: But direct TV has'nt pick up the Pac 12 network since it started. I feel like I have a gun to my head with Dish.

I have Fox News on DTV. I'll gladly send my info to any DISH users who want to switch over to DTV. :D :D :D :D :D

it will be back on dish in no time. No provider is exempt to negotiations and all have lost programming at one time or another. Direct TV is more expensive for less programming and in my area I cant get LOCALS with them. :2cents:

Fox News is a bit too liberal for me but the lessor of the evils. They're based out of New York. What does that tell you?

The rest are out of Hollywierd?

They were going to take out Duck Dynasty too.

The hollywierdoes just don't get it. When don't want to live there. We don't want to watch Access Hollywood, EXTRA, Inside Edition, Entertainment Tonight, TMZ, the Insider etc. They act like soldiers and make millions off of it. Pat themselves on the back with Emmies, Grammies, Oscars or Academies. I don't care! But they don't understand why the rest of America doesn't want to live that crap. Their intent was to belittle the Hill Billy life style of the Robertson clan. It backfired on them. They don't get it. Never will.

I could watch FOX News. Just not all of it.
