Wife and I just spent 3 days in Fredericksburg TX. Went down to New Boston, 30 west to Dallas, 35 south to Georgetown, then turned west to Burnet?, then south to Johnson City and on to Fred.... On the flip flop, we left Fred.. on 16 and drove it north all the way to 20, then headed east through Fort Worth. Beautiful country. Killed a deer with the bumber. Man you guys have alot of deer. Guess you need to have quantity, to compensate for quality :lol2: . Those deer are freakishly small down in south TX. Did I mention Fredericksburg Brewery has some be nice fine beer? I also think it worthy to note that I did not see a single "O" sign anywhere. God bless Texas :tiphat:

You missed South Texas by about 250 miles....:). We let y'all cull
the herd with bumpers so we can see the" shooters". I'm glad you
Enjoyed your trip.

Well I did go to Uvalde once in an airplane. How many more miles would that be? I thought I was at the bottom of the world:lol2: Doesn't seem right to count air miles.

Been to New Boston twice back in Aug and Sept--them folks need to get a decent motel there--and one that knows what the term "Air Conditioning" means.
I spent Oct 14-15 in Fredericksburg myself--dang expensive place to visit for sure but the scenery south of there is nice--as are the roads if you are driving the 3 sisters route.

I just came back from spending a week up on the Red River just north of Paris Tx and Hugo Ok--visiting in-laws. Man they got some good looking cattle up that way--and a lot of em.

Hwy 29 West of Georgetown is location, of
ranch I hang out on, about half way between
Liberty Hill and Georgetown.

No we didn't. It was a business trip, so we only did things that worked with that schedule. Then we had to rush back home. I'll be back though.

Numerous?
That's an understatement. There's either a vineyard or a winery everywhere ya look in central Texas nowdays.

You didn't miss me by much on the return trip.

You should have helped yourself to a couple of more deer. 4 crossed in front of me tonight. Came to a complete stop to let the other two go across and join their pals. They changed their minds so I started edging forward just in time to watch the first four decide to come back across and join the other two.

You can also help yourself to the hogs. There's plenty enough to go round in these parts. :D

Hopefully your had a good visit.
