you are right about the "new" breed of deer hunters.when i go into accademy,gander mountain or walmart for ammo or such i see the guys getting out of 50k pickups and their 200 dollar boots and load their buggies with all kinds of things that to me gets more hunters than deer.i do believe a good cover scent is nesc.but all those high tech cloths and lures and calls isnt for me.all i do is wash my hunting clothes with a mild detergent if they are soiled then re wash them in plain water and baking soda to remove odors.if they arent soiled just the baking soda no prewash.then i hang them on the line to dry.i keep them in a duffle bag till ready to wear.ive seen the same guys come on my lease with big trailers and the newest 4 wheelers and never take any deer home.my son and i usually put all the deer in the freezer we want and dont use all the latest stuff.my ancestors only used cover scent,their stealth and skills and they kept the tribe fed.
