I can explain that tag. I've gotten in the habit of tagging animals ears from tagging calves. So every time I walk up on an animal laying on the ground I put a tag in it's ear. The number is how many elk I've killed. :cboy:

By the way, I'm not bragging but I made a 600 yard shot on that one. Well I guess I am bragging.

Officials said they investigated after a resident found the first bull on Sept. 9. The antlers had been removed, but most of the carcass was left behind.

Not bragging unless you claimed to have used the peep sight on the pistol. Fairly typical shot from a six shooter with a scope here in the south.

Of course I used the peep. Scopes are for long shots at small targets like Amarillos at 1000 yards in low light.
