Dead eye just found out something pretty neat

If you take a red bay leaf, pinch it off at the base and break it from the stem, keep it pinched hard, drop it in water, it will propel itself. Do it in dark tannin stained water and you can see it is actually squirting out some sort of oil in bursts.
I thought it was pretty neat. We spent a couple minutes trying to figure out why they were moving like a boat. Then in the dark water saw the oils releasing.

I'd try it, but I have no bay bush. friend of mine gave me a branch of it dried for soup.. I like it :)
