talking to different individuals some will say that a finished calf will need to have been on feed for 120 days, some say 150, others 170. my question is...if a calf visually looks finished at say 90 days on feed, can the IMF of that calf be substantially improved by feeding it out to 120 or 130 days? or - will the IMF not have a significant change but yield grade be reduced?

if a calf finishes out weight an look wise in 90days.thats more profit for you.it costs you money to feedout to 120 or 150 days.esp if they finish out sooner.its a waste of money time feed an pen space.
