One of my student aides had one of those last year. It drove me nuts for the 49 minutes she had it with me. I don't think Steve would like the, uh, tan on that kid.

Oh believe me, I see thar all the time. I went back to visit family in Oklahoma a few years ago and you would have never made me believe that my uncle would be standing there holding a little black grandbaby. It isn't the kids fault, though. I guess you gotta love what you get.

I agree it's not the kid's fault but it dam sure is the momma's. I told mine if they every had one like that to just pretend a dozer had tore the road up to the house. You get what your willing to except or put up with.

i instilled those same values in my daughter as well, through rigorous training ,,,,but alas, i may have took it to far , because she didnt care if she ever seen another one :lol:
 
Ive tried to teach my daughter right, but she not the easiest of kids. Theres alot of factors involved but shes been a challenge the whole time. Shes 16
Wife and daughter went to the store yesterday with the robot and got a few dity looks from people for obvious reasons. They dont know its not real. So were using that as a leason as well. Nothing i could do about it if i wanted to. All that would cause is a failing grade and this is a large portion of her semester grade in this class

To tell you the truth, I'm glad to see schools doing this. I think it just has to make an impression on the kids in that class, make them think two or three times about the risks.
 
Lot of things "they"don't tell you about having kids - like,you lose your name..you're "Billy's Mom".. You NEVER get to have a moment alone ever again,until you're old,then you're just ignored.. The kids will critisize everything you do,mess up the dog training,sabatoge anything you want to do,but if one of their friends wants help with exactly the same thing,they can't get there fast enough and generally make life He11 for the rest of it. :(
 
Amen Peg! I told to a friend of mine when she was pregnant. Everyone loves you when you are pregnant. After that baby is born, nobody cares about you. I remember my mom running out to the car, grabbing Steven, and running back inside while I just sat there. Love to see you too, Mom! I guess that's what grandmas do. I have four kids between me and Steve, the oldest being 31. No grandkids yet. The only married one says they aren't having kids.
 
And don't forget,if something goes wrong with the kid ,it's all mom's fault.. Kid makes honor roll,Dad's influence.. :frowns:
 
When i was in school they gave us a boiled egg with the teachers name on it ... I could sign her checks after that weekend I think I broke 5 of them but she didn't notice it wasnt the original... I had to take classes like that to get a passing grade .. I was pretty good at football and socializing .. not much on math and government

One of the boys that works for me, his girlfriend had to bring one home with that same distinctive "tan".
She had a look of joy on her face about like your daughter's :lol2: .
