cycle question

I have a heifer that showed heat and was with the bull I watched for signs of heat 18 to 25 days from initial heat. There were no signs so I assumed she settled now 36 days after she is mounting the bull she must still be open but any idea on why her cycle was so much over 21 days?

She may have gotten pregnant but didn;t retain the pregnancy.

Most pregnancies are lost prior to 70 days. Chances are she slipped the calf and came back in like Dun said.
