Logging companies, forest service and other planners, in their wisdom, left 100 meter leave strips at the edge of meadows to “limit” sightings of prey animals from both 2 and 4 legged predators. Most of the trees in these strips were already dead, bug kill pine. Once the protective stand was removed these strips became windfall barriers to everything. We cleans a trail out that was last done 2 years ago. Forgot to take the finished picture. There is close to 50 miles of these blowdown strips on our rage area.
