Just thought this was cute, and wanted to share it with you all:

I have a 6 mo. old heifer that I think will turn into a Lilly, if not so already. She seems to have a calming influence on even the wildest calves that we've bought. We'd put those calves in with her and in a matter of 2 days they'd stopped trying to jump the fence, they quit pacing up and down and quit bawling. Baby just kept at them...walking over and nudging them just a little bit trying to get them to play, rubbing her head over their backs, showing them that it was ok to go to the trough to eat...Baby is worth her weight in gold here.

Hi Alice :D

Yes, that is how I am feeling about Lilly, she isn't real lovey with people, more scared than anything. She came from an
Amish dairy auction. But, as big as they are I would rather them be scared of me than me scared of them ( ). We figured we would keep her around for a while. I have a thread under the sales section on her and the others for opinions, but I think I put it under the wrong area of the forum.

That is a very cute picture. Too bad you don't live a little closer, I'd ask if you would consider renting her out for a week or two - we've got a psycho steer calf that could use a little calming down.
