Custom programmers for gas trucks?

I know a lot of people put them on diesels, any one tried one on a gas truck?

Wondering if they improve power or mileage.

Don't go buy the Hypertech, JET, ect... programmers. They are way over priced for the very little extra hp and they kill you mpgs.
