We have one cow who’s had two calves now, both heifers, both by different bulls. Both have had a weird curve when they’re born. Same direction. Her first calf straighten up in an about a month and you never could tell. (I’m sure this one will to). Is it something genetic? Nutrition? How she carries her calves? I just thought it was a fluke the first time. IMG_1496.jpeg

I don’t mind taking the chance and she sure won’t be getting culled. Her last calf straightened up perfect in a month and was super nice

Her last calf straightened up perfect. I’m not worried about this one either. I thought it was funny it was exactly the same 2x in a row. She is a smaller cow so that would make sense

That makes sense with a smaller framed cow. I had to pull the calf out with with a chain and ratchet. We had something similar occur with the "Wind Swept"(going to use that from now on) look though not near as dramatic as that. That makes a lot of sense.
