Cults-sacrafice cattle.

I just remembered something that happened in the late 70's. And was wondering if anyone else here remembers this or had this to happen to them or know of it happening ?

I guess it was arround 1978 or 1979 cows was being found that had been killed and mutetilated in strange ways. Law enforcement thought it was cults doing it.

Some animals would have like their reproductive organs, eyes, maybe the tounge removed and it was supposedly done in a surgical manner. Most of the animals were completely drained of their blood. And authorities was baffled at how this was done without leaving a trace of blood. And alot of times they could not even figure out how the animal was killed.

When this was going on i was working one day with a friend who's family owned allot of cattle and we came up on one of their cows that had been killed in this manner. Its eyes had been removed along with its tounge the best i can remember. Now that i look back on it. I dont know at what this fella i was working for might not have had something to do with this picticular animal. Maybe he did and maybe he did'nt. The reason i say this is because i am sure when this was going on. It would have been a good way for someone to collect insurance or something of that sort.

I was just courious if anyone remembers this happening ? I had forgot all about this.

I remember all of that...had me scared. I was a great deal younger than I am now.

If it weren't so late, I would Snopes it. And, if I think of it in the morning...which I probably won't...but if I do, I will Snopes it then. In the meantime, if you have the ambition to do so, why don't you Snopes it. Either way, I would be interested in seeing what is found out. Like you, I haven't thought about that in a very long time.

I am glad you have herd about this to. I was almost to imbarrassed to post this. But i just happened to remember this happening and was really curious if anyone else remembered this happening.

I was a lot younger to when all of this took place. But it was on TV and in news pappers when all of this was taking place. And the best i can remember it was taking place all across the U.S.

I am not sure what you mean by snopes but i think you are referring to doing a search on the internet to see if you can find anything about it ? I am not computer literate enough to know how to do that. But if you know how i really wish you would and see what you can find ?

I dont remember it, but I have seen it talked about on television shows. Of course they were trying to attribute it to alians. Then some scientest came on and gave alternate explanations.

Personally Im going with vampire gypsys traveling the highways of North America.

click on each of the websites listed until you find one that gives you what you are looking for

The last deal I saw on that were experiments that determined that it natural causes. They set up time lapse camaras on some carcass' and on others had people sit there and photograph the whole process. It was truly amazing the changes that took place in a span of just a couple of hours. The vast majority of the strange looking stuff was done by insects.

I don't remember the show but, it was some documentary on the dish. It was in Alabama and they had this stuff going on in the early 90's. This thing comes on every once in a while I'll post it when it comes on again. Supposed to be a documentary with police interviews, etc. I only watched about half of it.

It's a freedom of information release concerning the cattle mutilations of the 1970s. I was obviously done by someone that really didn't want to have to do it. The scanning was terrible and the articles scanned were hard to read...some of them illegible.

I didn't read all of it, in fact I just skimmed the first two segments.

After Dun wrote that he remembered the mutilations being attributed to insects, a little light bulb went off in my feeble brain. I now remember hearing that insects were responsible for the alleged mutilations.

The reports of satanic cults and UFOs and black helicopters with men in black being responsible sure made for titillating copy...

I remember back during the oil boom some drilling company must have skipped payday a couple times because someone shot a couple calves between the eyes and took a hindquarter. If they needed meat that bad we would have given them some out of the freezer. Instead they took a hindquarter and left the rest to rot. BTW, they must not have been drinkin' yet because the hindquarters appeared to have been "surgically removed".
