Cross fence reel pics

Stopped at southern states, to pickup some polywire, some step in posts, and a rubber handle.
They wanted 38bucks for a reel,one in stock and at another location.
So i figured id fished alot in my days and had an old junk reel in the shed.

This is the grass that's looking good for just clipping. :cboy:

Did you check Ebay to see what that's worth? I am guessing you coulda bought several fence reels for what that puppy would sell for.
 
3 way, I have nice reels. avid fisherman offshore OC Maryland and Chesapeake bay.
This was a junk reel that finally has a purpose, and the drag is Tight!

HaHa that's cool What a creative idea!. You could probably wench up a bull with that thing if you had to.
 
Looks more line a Penn or Shimano to me. I don't think shakespear makes anything that size for offshore. Either way, nice set up. I've got several older Penns in the barn that just sitting there I may just try that with. Thanks for the idea!
