Crocs

no this post is not about crocodiles or however you spell it lol. I bought a pair of those croc shoes and walked across the pasture through a thick spot of clover and while going through it I must have knocked a bee off and it got down in my shoe and lit the top of my foot up. Crocs are not safe either to H..l with crocs and flipflops.

my grandsons have them. Stickers go all the way through the soles. They look a whole lot like the shoes Mexicans make out of used tires. I often wondered if that was what they were trying to imitate.

LOL ... I bought those crocs for when I bow fish and wade out in the water because they are light and water would not stay in them but that bee incident they are in the barrel burning.

I'll fess up to being a Crocs wearer. They have their place and it ain't in a boat or a pasture. I wear them in the house, out to take trash to the road or get mail. Things are to slippery when wet and you'll twist an ankle. Don't need anything stuck thru them and into my foot, either.

Sky, if you would have had your horse tied up at the front door so you could ride it to the creek this would have never happened. And what are you doing bow fishing? All the Indians around here use a gill net. It is a lot more effective way to catch fish.
All I can say it is a good thing you have us to give you advise because left on your own it is hard telling how much trouble you would get into.

I have pair of 'crocs' for around the house. Rarely do I wear them outside, too many holes for the bugs and chiggers to get into. As for men and crocs, I don't see that very often, now and then. My husband in crocs???? The day my hogs are flying around our place is when I will see him in a pair of crocs. :lol2:

Crocs are gay! I don't care if they are camo either! I could use a new pair of Birkenstock though! That's just the German poking out of me! Now Birks are really comfortable. Only problem is not too water proof.

I have a pair I wear for house shoes, but I seldom wear them out of the house and wouldn't dream of walking out in the pasture with them on. Might as well be barefoot.

:lol2: I lost my cool it hurt like he.. It sucks when that happens cause you are totally not expecting it and then trying to get your shoe off they wear you out.

I've got two pair but neither are like the normal slide in type you see. Both actually have strings and tie but do have the air vents, are light as a feather, very comfortable and unless I told you, you'd never know they were crocks.....look very good with shorts too. :mrgreen:

Not even sure where you find such footwear---in the accessories section right next to the fanny packs and scarves?

Crocs... prison shoes.......Yes, I have two pair also. These shoes are super for people who have arthritis in their knees, legs, or hips. Try pricing a mat to stand on make out of the same material to prevent leg stress. Mat stays in one spot, but these shoes are everywhere you walk.
I would not work cattle in them, but to walk in the house and around in the yard, they are great. When they have wet grass on them, just run the hose over them.

I have a pair of Justin ropers that are my girlie shoes......the tops are a pretty blue color but no one ever sees that....

I have some regular western boots that I ride in....and a dress pair for funerals.

my standard shoe is either a Schmidt (tractor Suppy) 8 inch lace up or a pair of bates Combat boots...

I have a pair of gum boots to wear when it is raining....

they have there place on the farm. 1st they are excellent for when you are checking cows on foot because when you step in cow shyt you just hose them off. 2nd when you step in cow shyt and fall down and happen to be near water they are easy to retrieve because the float. 3rd when you get attacked by bees they will sling off after the first 2 steps to make running easier barefoot. I could explain a lot of other benefits but instead I will give you a Don't. DONT WELD with them on!
