Got 4 more ready to go into service. THis makes 30+ of just 066s/MS660s not counting the 100s of others, repaired, rebuilt, refurbished, etc. recently Most of these big saws need bearings, seals, new rubber, possible pistons, cranks, crankcases you name it.

I need to look, but I think mine is an 066. I'm pretty sure it's 15 years old or older. It recently sat for over a year without ever being taken off the shelf. When I needed it I only had to pull the starter cord 4 or 5 times and it cranked up and ran like a new one. (I do use the pre-mixed fuel, without ethanol, or I suspect that wouldn't have happened.)

When not in use for any period of time start the saw up pour the gas out and let idle dry. The seals and rubber parts in the saw will last a lot longer. Also the fuel will not setup in the saw and be a problem to clean. On the pre-mix IMO that can get expensive in a hurry. Buy pure 100% gas and mix 40 to 1. From my experience when working on a saw if the gas left in smells sour it needs a carb kit.
 
I let my mower run out of fuel in the fall/winter so it doesn't get gummed up. I also have found that the rebuild kit is 40 bucks and I got a new carb off ebay for 15. Yeah it's made in china.... but I had trouble with the rebuilt one, and they didn't wind up replacing all the little o-ring things and one was split. So spent all that money for basically nothing and the new replacement one is doing fine. So I figured that much as I hate the waste.... 15 is a lot cheaper than 40 or more, counting the labor, and I can replace one a year if I have to. I also only use gas, no ethanol.
