Cows will not come in heat

Any possibility any are freemartins? We tried three times to breed a heifer for a friend. Vet came and checked and said things were hosed up internally and she was likely a freemartin. Off she went... (Point being, there may be different reasons why they're not breeding, not necessarily just one reason).

Curious how many hours you decided to wait between pulling the CIDRs, and doing the AI and final GnRH? The various ranges I've seen for the 7-day TAI protocol (with CIDR) make it hard to know exactly what to shoot for.

In our experience, some will be in standing heat the day you AI them but others won't. Our AI tech can usually tell from his exam which ones are in heat though.
 
We've had problems in the past with cows in small groups getting tired of each other and not cooperating. Had one that was in rip roaring heat trying to mount everything, and they didn't want anything to do with her. We made us a teaser after that.
 
In my experience a CIDR won't go in all the way with a Freemartin. I have to admit I never heard of cows or heifers getting tired of being together.
 
They are not freemartins, they calved last year.

Can a small group of cattle get tired of each other and stop riding?
 
When we time ai, we do the 10 day Co-Sync with CIDR. So last week on Wednesday we inserted CIDRs and gave GnRH. This Wednesday at 10 pm we will pull and give Lute, then we will AI Saturday at 1pm.
