Just wanted to share so we have a beef cow whose teats blew after her last calf we were going to sell her but then decided to butcher her well about 2 week before the butcher date I noticed her bag filling up and told my mom we needed to watch her well the day before the butcher date I convinced my mom to take a different cow who's baby was weaning age good thing I did because we decided to put the blown teat cow with our nurse cows that way when she did have the baby we could take it and put it on another cow two days after the butcher day today me and my sister were feeding and came back from the lot and I noticed her getting a drink and the doing the high headed walk/run like she is looking for something so we went to check her and sure enough she had a still damp stocky heifer so we put the cow in the chute and I milked one side because the other she either kicked or had cut up her teats so we bought the calf home and fed it half the colostrum and will give her the other half in the morning but now we don't have to go the the sale
