Cow with bloody nose.

A family member of mine has a beef cow that is 14 years old. She is raised on pasture and minerals. For the past three years she just bleeds from her nose. Her appetite appears to be normal as well as activity. No fever detected, no labored breathing, or any other abnormalities. I thought it might have been something such as IBR, however it occurs every year around this time and the rest of the herd is perfectly fine. Could heat cause her nose to bleed like this? Maybe such as humans get random nose bleeds?
 
Could be. Or it could be allergys or the grass irritating her nose, or....................
If it doesn;t cause her a problem, just lay it to cows are odd critters

We have a cow that gets nose bleeds, and every time her nose is bleeding there is a stick stuck up her nostril. No joke, I've pulled out a stick that was about a foot long before, stops bleeding in a matter of minutes to hours after stick removal.
 
A STCK UP THE NOSE IS PRETTY ODD, ESPECIALLY A FOOT LONG! I'M LEANING TOWARD ALLERGIES AS WELL, BUT IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE WE COULD DO FOR IT?

If it's not bothering her and she seems perfectly healthy for a cow of that age, and it only happens for a while one time a year, why do anything? I'd be scared to monkey with her...only to make matters worse.

It's probably allergies irritating the lining in her sinuses...just like what happens to all of my grandchildren around this time of year.
