A couple Limi cow's the first is a 16 year old cow #2 is a five tear old Tell me what you think.

Bigbull is right. That 16 year old looks really good for that age. I think she really exhibits the muscle that the Limousin breed is known for.

Karin we had snow here too monday yesterday was in the mid 70's with shower's.

RBB i am parcial to the red one's too just seem to look better to me.

Those are really nice cows and don't look their age.The 16yr old loks like an 8yr old and the 5yr old looks like a heifer.

sidney no that isent her mother but she is a sister to the 5year old mother she still look's purty good to i'll see if i can get a pic of her to.

I'm going to go a bit further and say a 16 year old cow that looks that good and raises a good calf every year for that long is a great cow. I'm assuming she's doing that without a lot of supplementing which would reduce her overall productivity. It's hard to ask for more that 15 consecutive calves! I'd even venture to say, if she slipped a year, she's still a great cow. 14/15 is really nice efficiency.

I really like your 16 year old cow. She is just about the perfect cow to me. I like the 5 year old too. But I wish all of our cows looked like your first one. She is a nice one. I'd pray for each calf she had to be a heifer from this point on and keep them all.

Any cow that produces for 16 years and looks like that is a great cow in my books. For the feet and legs guys, don't look at the first cows back legs (weak pasterns and sickle hocked). However, I have a hard problem complaining any structural problem on an old cow. I see the same problem showing up in the younger cow. If the rest of the herd has the same leg structure, you may want to put some effort in straightening them up, although that structure seems to be working very well for you.

The 16 year old is standing on a ridge. She is long and has gathered herself at the peak of that ridge. She is a very long cow at that. The cow standing behind her looks to be standing off of it a bit with it's back legs below the ridge.

Wow, to me this is a super cow. She looks better than 99% of the registered stock I see in the magazines advertising "dam to lot#_ _ _" Some of those cows are so shallow necked, no girth, no butts, no length, etc.... I have never eaten a steak that tasted slightly "cowhocked." I have never seen a cow die from being slightly cow hocked. If I could order a whole pasture full of cows that looked like that, but they all had to be slightly cow hocked, I would say, place the order!!!!!!
That is such a nice cow.

I would like to thank everyone for their comment's on these two girl's she has held up good better than some of her sister's.She was sired by an Wulf bull the five yr old is out of a fullblood grandson of sepical k.One of the sister's turned out a lighter color and has been a good cow but raised a cull last year and is showing sign's of her age so she will be gone come fall.
