why does it start turning my cows purple?

I like lavender cows but dang these purple ones are getting on my last nerve!
 
30 seconds into the game and I got frustrated with it...

I love chess and do well playing it. Othello on the other hand I just am really bad at, my husband beats me everytime. Now I can say the computer has too. :oops:
