Cow Due

This simangus cow is due with her third calf on Feb 22. I saw the thread on losing a calf because the heifer took off. I put this cow in the holding area so she can be handled and the calf tended to if necessary. I have another cow with her who is due the same time.

Hook, this cow came like this as a bred heifer from the Rocking P folks. I think she would be this well conditioned if you feed her nothing but air and water. She is one of the few cows that will go to the hay ring and eat hay when I put out feed. I got a couple more that come from Rocking P that are very similiar in that nature. I just had Keith Phillip deliver a recent purchase and we talked about the nature of this line of their cows, they are simply easy keepers.

I like having mine up close when they get close to calving especially heifer and that girl looks about as wide as she is tall good luck with her

Here is this cows first calf. A steer at 4 months. Her second calf was a spitting image of this one. They have her robust build.
