Cow has a foot of cream colored mucus hanging from rear and it’s thick but already calved about 18 ish hours ago … is this normal?

She’s passing big globs of clear mucus the baby is small and the cow is a over sized girl is it possible that there’s more then one calf

the size of the cow has little or no effect on the size of the calf. if cow is not trying to push or looks uncomfortable, I wouldn't expect a twin in there. If she starts having a foul odor in a day or so, I would look at not cleaning completely. I would just give her a few days to clean herself up a bit and let nature take its course unless something else appears that you think is abnormal.

Like @wbvs58 said, if you are concerned there might be a twin........ put her in the chute and check for it.
As for the discharge. Relax, nature isn't perfect. Some placenta might have gotten stuck somewhere and takes a bit longer. If the cow acts normal, eats normal, drinks normal, takes good care of her calf....... let nature take care of things.
Different if cow were acting lethargic, not eating or drinking normal.

How many cows do you have calving for your first year?
