Cow bleeding our the nostrils?

A coworker of mine has a cow that has been bleeding out the nostrils some. Don't think it is due to trauma and the cow seems to be in good shape, not labored breathing. Any thoughts on the cause.

It's fairly common. I see it from time to time when they hit their nose on something, they can get nose bleeds just like people. It usually goes away in a day or two.
