I find it kind of funny that there is a breed associaiton for cattle refered to as Corriente. Back in the 60, at least in southern calfironia, any cattle we brought in from mexico were called corrientes. Some were Holstein, Guernseys, black cattle, long horns, etc. It was just a generic term for mexican cattle.

Translated I believe the word means "Junk" or "Trash". Sounds right anyway.
 
I have seen some Corrientes that resembles Horned Herefords and Brown Swiss. Speaking of the mexican cattle shipments, I've heard that you can get some Spanish fighting cattle out of the Mexican shipments in United States.

just a couple thrown at me... he has a scotal cm of - 30 and BW was 38.5 PNDS.. adjusted ww.. was a wopping 175 pds at 205 days... they say he's a curve bender.... or in their breed terms, a knot jerker :lol2:

I don;t know about the fighting bulls but some of those things we brought up were pretty darn snorty!

Surprised he didn't break them off, but he for sure got them worn down to a point.

That makes him worth more, he can be roped or penned for 3 years before he gets too big.
