JDI - I'd strongly consider having them removed - like I said we had it done to a bull of ours a few years ago - we waited until late fall so that there werent any flies and less stress when the weather is cooler, by spring he was good as new - no problems, no complications - was a pretty simple operation, and not that expensive. I asked my husband if he remembered how much it cost and he didn't think it was more than $300?? - as I said, our bull only had them on this front feet but 2 years later he's still giving us some pretty nice calves! He's always been a range bull, so the hardest part for him was being up in a small pen - but he seemed to get used to the pampering pretty quick.
