Just saw on the news where in the big town south of me a guy dialed 911 reporting a car break-in and when the officer arrived the caller ambushed him for no apparent reason. Both are now in the hospital and both are expected to recover.

On another note, I did a nice job predicting the future after my friend was hung out to dry for hitting a POS rather than shooting him when he had the chance. My prediction was once the feds came in and railroaded him for "excessive force" the next time someone ran from the law the officers would be more inclined to shoot than to wrestle. My prediction came true and some POS is now in the hospital getting a bullet taken out of his leg. Kind of hard to run and act stupid with a .40 cal in your leg I think. BTW - I cannot remember the last time we had an officer involved shooting in my neck of the woods. I think tensions are getting tight and I really wish those up north would stop stirring the pot because I don't think they have a clue as to what they are stirring.

You sir, have read my mind. I have been thinking about this all day. It seems we as a nation are standing at the very edge of something so volatile, that once engaged, the destruction is unfathomable.

On a side note Joe there was also an officer that was fired upon today up in Roswell, GA while on patrol. Apparently the suspect missed. And I just read about the 37 year old black man, also today, who randomly killed an innocent 44 year old mother of two. She was white. According to the report, the gunman was upset about recent black/white incidents. What a way to react to being upset. I sure am glad everyone doesn't react like this when they are "upset".
