I was wondering when ultrasound IMF scores are adjusted, what are they adjusting for, is it just age or is there more to it? Is there a way to adjust from a bull's IMF score to a steer's IMF to determine if that bull (if it was a steer) would grade? I've been looking at the table at this link to see how IMF scores translate to quality grades but wondered what you would have to do to compensate a bull for the testosterone effect (and thus get a quality grade)?

It's commonly thought that you can add about 1% imf to a bull that runs 3.5% or so when comparing him to what he'd grade under the same circumstances if he was a steer.
