Controlling Broom Sedge

What is the best way to get rid of broom sedge? We have more each year in our pasture and a hay field we cut last year had a bunch. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Different weed I guess but we have miles and miles of broom weed in Texas. Spring burning before it greens up works as well as anything...just can't always find the right conditions. (wind etc.)

Increase the fertility and graze/mow/clip it before it heads out.

As Dun said, Fertilize. Favor the desireable plants and they'll outgrow the broomsedge. Test the pH, also.
