Constipated?

Nice calf delivered 48 hours ago. Yesterday I noticed the nice orange poop, but most of it was still hanging on the backside of the calf. Today looks the same with maybe a little mucus as well. Calf is alert and bouncy.
Do I have cause for concern? Is it time for a enema?

Sounds like normal "colostrum poop" it is always really thick as colostrum is very rich. As long as your calf is moving it's bowls I wouldn't worry about it. It will get looser as she(the cow) comes into normal milk.

Yep its normal just make sure the tail doesn't get glued down by it because then they can't poop.
