Conditioner on Bremuda

I have seen most people use a conditioner on hybred bremudas. Does it help? I have seen people do without it and it takes the same amount of time to dry before baleing. For cane type grasses I can see the need. But the people I'm talking about don,t have any cane type hay.

I got a conditioner mower. Mine is the flail type which I would recommend for the bermudas over the roller type which is better for the larger stemmed grasses. I was skeptical when I first bought it but I talked to several people who swore by it. Anyhow, I've been very pleased with mine and it seems (as long as the ground is not very damp) it will cut a day off your drying time.

You might check that dry time again. I suspect that it's faster or they wouldn't use the conditioner. The only other reason that they might have used it is because they didn't have anything else to cut the grass with!

Now, I have seen a lot of the pro's using a tedder on Bermuda to increase dry time.

Yep I checked that dry time. It's the same. Even looked at the stems and could not see were it crushed them. I googled it up and found nothing about it.

Just because people do it doesn,t mean anything. Like if you saw another mans cows eating leaves, do you plant trees in your pasture?
My question is that, is it necessary, or better and why?
