Alright enough of this BS as it is supposed to be snowing here tonight and tomorrow, third one this year.
We are not wired for this Ice Age we average a snow every seven years and we have been getting them dang near every year for the last five. It is hard to bite this global warming hook in East Texas cause for this little event to occur it has to be colder than a witches tit in a brass bra.

Same here. Its fixing to get interesting since few around here has ever seen snow and even fewer have any experience driving in it. (not everyone has such highly honed driving skills as myself) 28 degrees is a far cry from the 82 degrees we enjoyed in 1935. I do hope they get a handle on this global warming business.

Its bad out there. A week of snow is occasional for our winters. Yes. We've had ice and/or snow three different weeks this year. Another light dusting one week that didn't stick long.

Not looking forward to it here either. My only comfort is to think how often the forecast it wrong.
Lately except for guessing the quantity ours has been wrong in the wrong direction. Of the last 3 snows, the first and third we were supposedly going to get 6 inches in each, only got 3-4. The middle one we were supposed to get 1-2 and we got 12

It sure has been a tough one this winter. We're supposed to get another storm again on Sunday. It resembles "The Long Winter" by Laura Ingalls Wilder, except for the starvation and no motorized equipment part. :) I don't know how ppl did it, amazing how self sufficient they were. I crab and moan, but at least I can get to town eventually and grab a to go pizza.

I'm getting rain......sort of.... mostly light drizzle.....some of it does bounce when it hits the hood or windshield.

CB, this can't last to much longer. Getting close to corn planting time.

Saw on the news where global warming is the cause of all this snow and cold. CB you got enough wood cut??

I am on the third cord this winter usually burn a little over one. I hate firewood, I payed thousands of dollars for a heat pump system and the Mrs. wants to still heat the house with firewood. Firewood heats you up five times and only one is enjoyable. I want my winters back where it got down to 30 at night and up to 60-65 during the day.

I'll still take this one over the last one. :) But this one averaged in with the last 2 would probably been better.

CB, I usually burn 4 to 5!!!
( And I have to disagree, few things more enjoyable than being in my own bush cutting firewood ).

Likely your house isn't insulated for northern winter conditions, although with A/C it might be?

It has R-30 insulation and double paned windows it's the high ceiling that kicks my butt in the family room and kitchen of 18 feet. Great for 100 deg weather.

Dun, you are a friggin jinx, buddy. ;-)
White all around in south AL this morning! First thing I saw was one of the heifers who'd come up for a drink of water meandering back down to the woods with the others, looking very perplexed!

Ours is vaulted but not quite that high. Two ceiling fans run in reverse wide open all winter.

6 1/2 inches of snow on the ground. It didn't start sticking until around 1 or 2 yesterday afternoon. Otherwise we'd have around twice that. Record snow fall for many towns just north of us.

We're not having any wind. Its only around 27 degrees out so its not bad.
