Colostrum ?????

I have a crossdred cow that always has plenty of milk to raise a good calf and I think she is about 2 weeks from having a calf but she already has a nice bag of milk.Or shall I say had a nice bag of milk till I looked out in the pasture and there was another calf that is 3 wks old sucking her dry and she did'nt seem to mind ,got to love them Brahman calves they know how to hussel at a young age,
now I don't know will the cow have colostrum in 2 weeks or will I need to get some for it? and yes the cow has been moved where she wont get nursed any more.
seem these cows just all nurse each others calves like it aint no big deal never seen any thing quite like it and they are all 2nd and 3rd calf cows

Very little personal experience with this but, according to what I've read, cows produce colostrum from about 5 weeks prepartum up until they calve. I believe I would have some good colostrum available and made sure the calf received it - just to hedge my bet in a case like this. I also believe that the cow in question would have a one way ticket after she raised said calf.

If she has any I would think it would be pretty poor quality and not very much

I don't know if agree with that I tend think it is the nature of the calf in this case more than the cow this is not her first calf and this never was a problem before ???
