I am making arrangements to get my bull collected. I am curious as to how many straws the average bull will produce. I know every bull is different and there are allot of variables but I am talking averages. What would be a reasonable expectation?

150 - 350 I was told for a first time session then at 2.25 a straw collected adds up a little. they will do 2 collections in one day. they have to check on if it will freeze, some bulls don't settle on freezing. good luck

We collect a bull he produced about 150 or so in an afternoon.

Last bull I took in for an afternoon "walk-in" gave 150 units

We just had our bull collected a few weeks ago because we sold him (he is the bull that won the MO state fair this year). He was 11 months old, and gave us 156 freezable straws. $2.25 a straw is what we were charged. Pretty easy process, but like double v said, they keep it until the next day to make sure it freezes OK. They did it on one collection.
