has anyone heard of or in person put clover seed in mineral feeder to sow clover....?have heard that it works was wondering if it would hurt the cows or calves..or work at all ?....thank you

I've heard of it, apparently it works to some degree.

I would guess you would want to use untreated seed.

Yes, we have done that. Clover seed is not affected by the digestive system.
We have also had it mixed in with our fertilizer.
Also, have purposely let a section of clover go to seed, then grazed it and immediately moved cows to a pasture needing more clover.
