I was getting the cows up to spray them for flies and my clean-up bull (who is hard to get to stand still enough for a pic) posed like he wanted a picture taken. He is 2.5 years old. He is an Atlas son. I am going to get him collected soon. I think he is a darn good bull and he throws some dynamite calves.

I really like him. He has a great disposition, very easy to handle and makes excellent daughters. He is a very aggressive breeder and evidently really potent. I would say 90+% conception on first service. I have rarely seen him breed a cow that cycled back. I bought him as a weanling. He has really worked well on my herd.

I have used quite a bit of Atlas genetics in both my commercial and registered herd. I can honestly say I have never gotten a bad calf. Atlas really puts hindquarter on his offspring. If big butts are what is needed Atlas will sure put it on them. I have bred my Jersey nurse cow to Atlas several times and he even puts good hindquarter on the 1/2 dairy calf. If it wasn't for that Jersey dished face you would hardly tell it was a half jersey calf.
