Any value to a CIDR if you don't start with GNRH? Is there a "protocol" for that? Just realized I'm running low :)

If they are cycling it should be OK but I would leave cidr in for at least 8 days to increase the period from when they were on heat last so PG more likely to work when cidr comes out.

A lot of people don't use it at start. Your spending $10-12 on a Cidr + $25 on semen so I always say why skimp on the $2.75 shot of GnRH if you got it or can get asap? If heifers with unknown heats, I wouldn't waste my time putting them in mine. Especially if they are borderline young (under 14 months) GnRH seems to jump start them heifers.
