I did one a favor as well, about 100 yards from the house. Skinny and one of it's forelegs had a big knot on it about the size of of a softball. It had been shot, bit or had been in a leg trap some time before, it got infected and he was pretty lame. Hungry too but couldn't hunt.

Mystery solved turns out just a coyote. Man I was all excited the legend was real!
