Chrissy's post reminds me there are archaic laws all around. For example, in Texas a horse still has the right-of-way in traffic. And I believe, whether it is enforced or not, the law also states you can be hanged for stealing a horse.

What are some of the outdated laws in your ........?

Still against the law to be caught with a pair of wire cutters too unless it has been changed recently.

The office of constable. It serves no purpose here. Receives no pay, and is protected by law.

Not sure that law has ever been repealed, but new laws regarding theft of livestock take precedence. That is unless you catch them in the act, then a death sentence is appropriate with a bullet.

Texas
It is illegal to milk another person's cow.
It is illegal to shoot a buffalo from the second story window of a hotel.
It is illegal to take more than three sips of beer at a time while standing up.
When two trains meet each other at a railroad crossing, each shall come to a full stop, and neither shall proceed until the other has gone.

Wish they had that here when I was a young hoot owl.
We could have spent Saturday nights sitting at watching the trains at full stop.

If anyone spends more than two hours at your barn your barn must have a restroom and a septic tank approved by the health department.

Beginning in 2013 airlines and putt putt golf courses must allow miniature ponies access to help the handicapped. (This is just one of the 10,000 new regulations businesses will need to comply with in the future)

What???? Seems like politicians have never changed. They do stupid things even today. Someone said on this board that it hard to put sarcasm in writing.

Bottom line is we are are lawbreakers. Personally I don't fret too much with man's laws and regulations and spend my time obeying the 11 big ones the big guys put on us even though these are not politically correct.

"There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power government has is the power to crack down on criminals. When there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws."
(Ayn Rand)

Wise words. Most people have no idea how big of teeth the government has because most are so complacent they choose not to look into the mouth of the monster.
